For a lot of people, Oregairu is one of their favourite rom-com series and the general opinion seemed that season 3 didn't deliver the ending they were hoping for. There is a strong feeling that season 3 just didn't have the same cheeky dialogue that the other 2 seasons had. But all that makes perfect sense. The first season was cheeky because it was a way to introducing us to the lovely characters of the show, the second season was to help understand why the characters act the way they do, while the third season tries to resolve those issues. It's a change in tone. The author had a clear story in mind, so you really can't expect the third season to flow the same as the first two seasons. I feel that you'll also experience the third season differently based on how well you can read the room. If you're expecting a full out battle between girls fighting over the affection of the main character, Hikki, than I feel you're not going to be enjoying this season, and you've been reading the room differently compared to somebody who understands that the show is exploring the idea of characters being able to genuinely express themselves. I personally went into this show with pretty high expectations, and most of those expectations were met. There are a few moments that caught me off-guard, but that's mainly because Hikki is such an awkward and unpredictable character. The side characters are still absolutely amazing and probably had the most memorable moments this season. My advice when going into this season is not to take all the flirting, blushing and cheeky dialogue (from the previous seasons) too seriously. You can blush, tease and flirt with somebody without having feelings for them. Some people just like seeing people get uncomfortable by flirting with them. Most rom-coms start out with happy introductions, a stressful middle part to the story and a very emotional ending, this show really isn't any different in that regard.

it's time for a non romance fan review! And this time it's snafu honesty I expect most people to just watch it anyway but hey if your on the fence they maybe I can push you in either direction. So if you really weren't a fan of the horrible monologues of the second season Well their back and somehow worse. But if you can get around then I would say watch 3/4 episodes and if you feel your eyes rolling around faster than Mercury's orbit then drop it it because it doesn't get much better.  If your still in the fence I'll go about more in-depth don't worry it's spoiler free (but it's a romance show soooo what am I spoiling? There is no suprise)  the animation is like the second season seriously great when they flex on some scenes oof they flex hard so that's a positive the Sound is good too and they do a good job not leaving scene empty for no reason so again nice job. and the characters are well they are really great for the side characters which you get to see hardly any of this season which really is a shame because they carried last season and are some of the biggest pulls to the show for the first 2 seasons. The main characters hachiman and yuki are annoying yui feels like she has depth to her but the other two just bore the hell out of me. The monologuing really do suck the fun out of show that could have been good. Everything else is good but since the main attraction is the whole love triangle it is a big negative. the story umm guys it's a high school love triangle romance show it's not the most revolutionary anime out there.it kind of feels like the middle portion of the show could be taken out and the whole "reveal" at the end feels very anticlimactic and I only say that because that's how it supposed to be. But to me it felt so lazy like forced conflict and then POOF it's gone.    so if you made it this far you can tell that I really dislike the monoglouge and the block of wood main characters my other big problem is the typically tropes that come with the romance genres especially the episodes from 9-11 then epsiode 12 just kind of happens and rushes the ending. The funny thing is I didn't hate the ending because they all seemed like people and not monologueing psych professors. I feel as though this show kind of gets pulled in because yui is a better characters and don't really notice the monologues but that's just my opinion and I'm curious to see how the other non romance people thought about it. Now I'm gonna go watch something brain dead with explosion thanks for the read !

This season sees more improvements in the visuals and in the sounds of the show. The story also successfully achieves what the first season attempted with blending the dramatic moments with the more lighthearted moments. However, this season falls victim to its fans. I am familiar with the some of the show's fanbase, and they are big fans of some of the show's secondary female characters and ship them with the lead character. The show responds to this with the teasing of some sort of harem plot, and this teased harem plot wastes so much screen time in this season. The show never comits to a harem plot. It was clear from the start of this show that wasn't going to be a harem show. It was always a character drama featuring prominent themes of the challenges presented by text and subtext in human communication. So it is obvious that these teased harem elements will not be explored, especially when considering that this season covers only the last few volumes of the manga. It's the last leg of the story. The harem stuff and the shallow comedic scenes served no purpose beyond padding out run time because they had less source material for the final season. With all of this being said, this third season offers a satisfying and realistic ending to the show. So I enjoyed the story a lot. I just didn't like having to sit through harem junk and random rap battles to get that conclusion. The sound and visual presentation of the show see more improvements. Good ending to the story that could have benefited from a good "trimming of the fat."
