Luna is a young Chinese American girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut. From the day she witnesses a rocket launching into space on TV, she is inspired to reach for the stars. Luna lives with her loving father Chu in the big city. He supports her with a humble shoe repair business he runs out of his garage. As Luna grows up, she faces all kinds of challenges in pursuit of her dreams.

I'm very glad to have watched this sweet little film. If you like adorable shows that leave you with a fuzzy, good feeling, then this will please. One Small Step is a wonderful inspirational short story about a young girl who wants to be an astronaut. The art style is cute and fits the story perfectly. It is a silent film, but there is background music. Everything comes together nicely for this short film. Family friendly.
